Alison started painting in oils under the tutelage of Sadko Hadzihasinovic in 2010 at Avenue Road Art School. Prior to that she had the privilege of taking art classes periodically during breaks in her working life in the environmental field.
Always inspired by natural landscapes, she started by painting children interacting with nature. This expanded to children’s portraits, and has led to a love of portraiture, capturing the landscape of a face and striving to capture the character of a person.
Now painting full time, her family have supported her by giving her the opportunity to stay at home and discover that what she really loves to do is paint.
Alison is based in Toronto, Ontario
