The exhibition opening is taking place on Saturday February 16 th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. About Rezonance: Rezonance is a visual art group founded in 2003 with artists: Karmensita Maskarel, Nena Velimirovi and Natasha Kovacevic. By working in a group they discovered interesting dynamics, creative energy and exceptionality. Their common ground is fascination with life phenomena in all forms and shades in their eternity. Exhibition at Jadranka Pastries (Annette Stokes-Ayers)

Annette Stokes-Ayers started painting about 10 years ago after many years of observing her own mother paint. Her paternal grandmother was also an artist and a sculptor. She is a member of Franklin Carmichael Art Centre , Neilson Park Creative Centre, Etobicoke Art Group and Humber Valley Art Group where she has taken landscape and portraiture classes in water colour and acrylic.

Annette Stokes-Ayers works with acrylic and oil as well as pastel. She enjoys painting works of portraiture, landscape and floral. Her works were exhibited in juried shows in Toronto at the Etobicoke Civic Centre , Neilson Park Creative Centre and Franklin Carmichael Art Centre and now at Jadranka Café & Pastries.

Artist Statement For the past 15 years, Lynn Damp has been pursuing her interest in fine art with increasing vigour and intensity. Studies have included art classes and workshops at various local and international locations, augmented by museum and gallery visits wherever she goes in the world. Art is totally absorbing for Lynn - spiritually, intellectually and physically. She is very appreciative of her patrons (family), teachers, mentors, fellow artists and friends for their support and encouragement.

Jadranka Pastries was pleased to display painting by artist Romi Samuels for the last few months.

This Sunday you are invited to the closing of this exhibition, come and join us between 2pm – 4pm to meet the artist and enjoy the artwork.
Artist Biography
Growing up in South Africa, Romi Samuels developed a sensitivity towards the people, “Abantu”: Vendors, mothers, domestic workers, security guards.
Surrounded by people battling to make a living in a troubled political and economic environment, her paintings reflect their dignity in spite of their poverty.
After moving to Canada she pursued her love of painting, reflectively depicting the memories of her youth. She studies with Sadko Hadzihasanovic and lives in Toronto.

Artist Biography:

Ljubica Marušić was born and lived in Former Yugoslavia. She came to Canada from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2001, to join and live with her children.

Ljubica has Early Child Education Diploma, University Degree in Pedagogy and Psychology and 30 years experience working with children and adults. During her work she drew a lot using: charcoal, pastel and water colours. She was involved as an illustrator for a children’s magazine for several years.
When retired and during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina she did not drew a lot.
